Dating in the London Borough of Redbridge

The London borough of Redbridge lies in the north east of outer London and has a population of just under a quarter of a million. The population has a small majority of women over men at around 3.5% and the typical occupant is a home owner/occupier. There are a lot of families and children with 50% of the population being aged between 20 and 50 and almost 22% of the population being aged under 20. The employment rates are reasonably high at around 60% of the population but there are a large number of families at 30% and a large number of single parents at around 10,000. This makes the dating scene potentially interesting in Redbridge as it has a more suburban than overtly city like atmosphere meaning the dating potentials might seem slimmer in many ways. However the area attracts a lot of people and quite a lot of business enterprise meaning there is some money and some enterprise. The area also has a lot of good infrastructure and parks as well as being relatively close to central London and to the nearby counties.

Despite thinking the dating in Redbridge might be less good than elsewhere the area does actually have a lot of attraction and some great places to go out. In terms of restaurants there are some really great and some exotic places to go with a great mix of cuisines though not in the same density of many of the inner London boroughs. The best places to head to are probably Nuovo, the chubby Panda, Hi –Tide and the Corinthian which are amongst the best in the area. There are also a huge number of other entertainments including the standard cinemas as well as Redbridge theatre and a whole host of leisure facilities. In terms of more extensive dates out the centre of London is your best bet but there are a number of great parks like west ham park and Valentine’s park nearby which makes it a great area for outdoor pursuits.

The singles scene in the area isn’t really particularly exciting. There are some reasonable night clubs and bars such as the Lizard Lounge, IF and The Old Maypole but they are not huge or hugely exciting. For the less youthful there are plenty of groups, activities and other things to get involved in and meet singles but really the pickings are slim compared to much of London. There are the occasional singles nights and the occasional speed dating events but really your best bet is going to be the internet for singles dating in the area.

The area is of course renowned for its parks with over 400 hectares of public space falling within the City of Westminster.
